Lost in translation
A reader writes, of Keven's entry:
Kat tells the cook that those not present “won’t be fed by you today. They’re either in the dressing station or pushing up daisies.”
Please remind readers that they are only reading a translation. In the German: Die werden heute nicht von dir verpflegt! Feldlazarett und Massengrab. (They won't be fed by you today. Field hospital and mass grave.) It's even more blunt than what Willey quoted.
